Elevating the Athletic Field with

Innovative Technology

In the fast-paced world of sports, where every detail counts, introducing advanced audio visual and video technologies can mean the difference between winning and losing. By bringing tech into the field, athletes and coaches can analyse and review performances, even in real-time, and be on the constant lookout for opportunities for improvement.

While the intersection of AV solutions in the sporting industry is not new, Concept AV has worked to develop systems that redefine the athletic experience, catering to everything from grand stadiums to local clubs so that teams can exploit the technology to stay ahead of the game. Whether it’s conferencing solutions, which allow coaches and players to fine-tune their strategies, or video data taken from training and sporting facilities for performance analysis and tactic refinement, our commitment to enhancing elite training is reshaping the sports landscape and bringing an edge that is unparalleled in this industry.

And the proof is in the pudding.

CONCEPT AV IN ACTION

In our effort to lead the space in AV training systems, Concept AV has teamed with a wide range of clientele to develop exceptional integrated technologies. For our work with Rugby Australia and UTS, we deployed a fully networked AV system to allow users to feed video data back to their training systems. Using PTZ cameras installed throughout the facility, coaches and players could review footage for strategy analysis and player performance, all through individual devices or the large interactive displays installed.

To further the adoption of VR technology, we also created a distinctive approach for the Skills Acquisition and motor learning lab by using a Sony laser projection and a custom 280° padded screen. The projection surface we were able to build offered a new level of flexibility and versatility, enabling athletes to practice performance and improve decision-making.

refinement, our c

Our work in the sporting industry also saw us tackle athlete development in high school education to support students in their training with elite facilities. In the Sydney Church of England Grammar School, our key audio-visual installation components included pool timing systems, LED scoreboards and displays, and microphone and speaker solutions to help enhance the space. In Trinity Grammar, we also fully transformed the training space with our AV systems and provided a full upgrade to their Sports Centre. Although budgets and requirements varied between projects, we developed systems to suit every need and leave clients satisfied.

BRIDGING THE GAP

More than client satisfaction, incorporating AV technology in sport plays a role in bridging the gender gap and improving opportunities for female athletes, a cause we’re proud to be involved in. Thanks to the ability to provide slow-motion replay and 3D modelling, our systems assist women in refining their sporting techniques, developing strategies, and reducing injury risks, contributing to the performance and the quality of women’s sports.

The recent success of Australia’s Matildas football team and the Women’s Rugby 7s has shown just how far this technology can take women’s sport. By applying detailed slow-motion analysis, coaches and players can review gameplay, focusing on tactics, opponent strategies and the team’s individual skills. As the teams gained more sophisticated opportunities to refine techniques and reduce the risk of injuries, improvements in their performance skyrocketed, all made possible by integrating AV technology into sporting facilities.

Our commitment to innovation and staying ahead in the field has led to incredible projects that demonstrate the convergence of technology and sport and simultaneously contribute to community growth. As we helped professional teams and budding athletes alike, Concept Av also created opportunities for young technicians and system designers, showcasing the powerful impact of our impressive systems.
