2023
After over two decades of installing and working with LG electronics products, it was a great honour for Concept AV to be selected to handle the installation of the AV systems for their move to a new head office and showroom in Parramatta. As expected, this fit-out was centred around LG technology solutions which enabled the Concept AV team to get their hands on some less commonly specified products and further enhance their skill set and understanding of the market solutions available. In addition to reusing existing equipment from their previous site, LG elected to supply the display equipment for installation by Concept AV. Effective project management was thus critical to ensure that deliveries were coordinated with LG in line with the project timelines.
As a global organisation, connectivity and collaborative technology were paramount to enable seamless communication across the diverse geographic locations, assisting in real-time data sharing, decision-making, and enhanced innovation through integrated teamwork. This is reflected in the technology delivered.
Meeting Rooms
The native conferencing system for LG was Cisco WebEx, however BYOD conferencing was also allowed for through the inclusion of a Bluestream HDMI & USB extension kit. 12 meeting rooms ranging from 2P focus rooms to 8P conferencing rooms, and an additional 5 executive office spaces were delivered across the two floors. The LG 55CT5WJ-B display was a central component of these spaces, providing an all-in-one touch screen interactive conferencing system in the display. The larger 8P conference rooms utilise a Cisco Webex Room EQ kit for a more advanced solution, and IR hearing augmentation was provided in line with Australian standards.
Boardroom
An impressive 136’’ LCD display in the LAEC015 model is the central display solution for the main boardroom. An additional 65’’ display was mounted on the curve of the wall to allow for additional content viewing. As per the other conference rooms, Cisco Webex room kits with a quad camera, as well as a BYOD solution was integrated.
Showroom
In addition to practical office space systems, the new location allowed for a dedicated showroom space where potential clients can view the LG product range across the different product departments. LG’s varying digital signage solutions, including the 86’’ Ultrastretch signage display were therefore integrated throughout the space by Concept AV. Audio distribution within the space was further enhanced through the installation of QSC AC-C6T in-ceiling microphones, with a Shure audio DSP and MXA920 ceiling microphone array for pick up.
Training Spaces
Employee innovation and training is at the forefront of LG’s company culture and mission and this is reflected in the establishment of two specialised training spaces including the 28P training room, and the AC academy training space.
The 28P training room features two 110’’ UHD LC displays at the front of the space, guaranteeing visibility by attendees. Remote participation is also allowed for through the integration of a Cisco room kit pro with 2 PTZ pro cameras. One camera captures the presenter with the toher focused on the room. The 2 Shure MXA920 ceiling microphones enable local audio capture for the conferencing call, and wireless microphones enable voice lift within the space. The unique feature of this space is the capacity for the system to combine with the adjoining town hall space simply by opening the retractable wall and selecting the correct function on the QSC control panel. The town hall space is fitted out with a similar system, however is further supported by two projectors and motorized screens for display. The rooms can be used individually or in combinable mode, providing LG the flexibility to host smaller training or larger office functions.
The AC academy training space includes a similar design to that of the main training space, with an LG BU50NST laser projector for the visual solution. This space however required a unique approach due to the exposed ceiling space. The mounting of the Shure MXA920 microphone arrays, projector ceiling mounts and QSC AD-P6T pendant speakers required a great attention to detail and problem solving to avoid other trade components and find fixing points. The limited space and visible nature of the open ceiling also demanded impeccable cabling work from the team.
