Goodman’s new headquarters at The Hayesbery needed to balance two very different priorities: preserving the site’s industrial history while creating a workplace equipped for modern communication and collaboration.
Concept AV helped bring these requirements together across meeting spaces, the boardroom, open work areas and employee facilities.
This case study explores how technology was integrated around the purpose and character of each environment.
Built in 1920, The Hayesbery carried a strong industrial identity. The refurbishment needed to introduce contemporary workplace capability while retaining the character that made the site distinctive.
Across 11 meeting rooms, technology was tailored to room size and purpose, with different configurations supporting presentations, audio conferencing, and video collaboration.
Goodman’s main boardroom was designed to serve as both a large meeting environment and a function space, combining a large-format display with conferencing, ceiling microphones, and dedicated audio.
The project extended into open work areas and employee facilities, demonstrating how workplace technology can support more than presentations and video calls.
Goodman’s gym and adjoining yoga studio were equipped with dedicated audio and display technology, while the yoga space can also support virtual instructors and guided sessions.
Digital signage and background audio were incorporated throughout shared and arrival areas, making technology part of the wider workplace experience from the moment people enter the headquarters.
